The photo was taken with a DSLR camera using a timer while balancing on backpack on summit coordinates 35 degree 52′ 57” N 76 degree 30′ 48” E. The photo depicts the moment Vanessa became the first American and British woman to summit K2, the second highest mountain in the world, displaying both the British Flag and the American Flag on the summit. The Union Jack is returned to the British High Commission, Islamabad and Old Glory to Ambassador David Hale at the U.S. Embassy, Islamabad.
