Explorer Vanessa O’Brien, who visited the Mariana Trench in a $40 million submarine, explains why she would never have visited the Titanic wreck in a dual-material vessel that hadn’t been properly certified.
Vanessa describes the EEG headset from iMediSync (아이메디신) she used to measure brain and HRV before and after her spaceflight on NS-22. iMediSync takes one step further by identifying early stage degenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, for example), as their headset also administers transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) – low levels of red or near-infrared (NIR) light to stimulate neural tissues.
Vanessa O’Brien is the first woman to achieve the Explorer’s Extreme Trifecta. The 57-year-old woman scaled the peak of Mount Everest, dove 36,000 feet to the deepest point of the Pacific Ocean and she just went to space. O’Brien was one of six passengers aboard the launch of Jeff Bezos’ blue-origin rocket and viewed space 66 miles above the Earth. Before she became a world-class explorer, O’Brien worked as a banker.
